Young men play computer video games in a "PC bang" in Seoul, South Korea on Jan. 26, 2012. "PC bang" means "PC room" or internet café in Korean. The internet cafés are extremely popular, especially with teenage and college-age males. Although most Koreans have computers at home or internet connected mobile devices, the PC bangs are popular for their social atmosphere. Friends can play connected LAN games together, like the popular StarCraft. Smoking, drinking and eating are also permitted in the PC bangs, meaning that people stay for long hours and the atmosphere resembles more a smokey billiards hall than an internet café in Western countries.
