A Maoist rebel soldier of the People's Liberation Army rests after unloading rocks that she carried on her head during construction of the Martyr's road near the village of Nuwagaun in the Maoist controlled district of Rolpa on 24 June 2005. The Maoists required one person from each household in Rolpa and Rukum districts to contribute to the construction of the road for 10-15 days. The road built completely by hand labor is the first one to connect to the rural villagers in this area.<br />
