A Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) with conjoined branches is seen along Denecourt Trail number 11 West (sentier Denecourt n°11 ouest, Le Rocher des Étroitures) in the Fontainebleau forest of France. Along the trails and in the guides created by Claude François Denecourt, he lists what he called "remarkable trees," a tradition that is continued today by the Association des Amis de la Forêt de Fontainebleau.
